Important Back-to-School Information for Your Employees

It’s that time of year – students are (or will soon be) heading back to school. As an employer, we know you care about your employees’ families, so we wanted to keep you in the know about a letter we just sent to your employees concerning healthcare coverage for their children or other dependents. The letter’s purpose is to remind them to renew their dependent(s) on our Student Extended Network Program. By doing so, their dependent(s) can waive the medical coverage offered by their educational institution. We value keeping you aware of communications like these, so you can help advise your employees if they have any questions. Otherwise, there’s no action you need to take.

In short, here is what we sent your employees:

Reminder: If your dependent has our Student Extended Network Program (SENP), giving them access to high-quality healthcare coverage while seeking education outside of our service area, you need to complete (and submit) this renewal letter to keep them in the program for the upcoming school year.

Also – regardless of whether your student has our SENP or not – if they need documentation of their healthcare coverage to provide to their schools or healthcare providers, they can access the necessary documents through their Hally® app or on the portal at HealthAlliance.org. On the Hally app, they can find their Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) and their schedule of benefits in their plan materials anytime, anywhere 24/7.

If your employees have any questions, they can give us a call at the number on the back of their health plan ID card. And if you yourself have any questions, contact us directly at ClientSupport@HealthAlliance.org or by calling (217) 902-8151. We’re committed to keeping you and your employees – and their families – healthy and informed.
