Member ID Card Change

Qualifying members will receive a new ID card showing providers that their plan has a relationship with First Health® network so certain out-of-network charges may be considered for a discount. ID cards will be mailed out to members as early as Tuesday, December 15.

There are three network options with First Health Network:

  • First Health Primary Network – Used for members that live outside the Health Alliance™ network. Brokers must request the addition of this network because there could be a small increase in rates.
  • First Health Wrap Network – Available for members that live in the Health Alliance network but need access to additional providers who are not part of the Health Alliance network. Brokers must request the addition of this network because there could be a small increase in rates.
  • First Health Complementary Network – Will be included at no additional cost for all qualifying members who are not on First Health Primary, First Health Wrap or any other extended network (e.g. MultiPlan/PHCS). It’s used to reprice out-of-network claims when the provider is part of the First Health network. The member’s cost share follow the out-of-network cost share; however, overall, the employer group’s claim cost will decrease.

The letter that will be included with members’ new ID cards can be viewed on the Broker Portal here.
